This role is for an outstanding business development specialist with an energetic and resourceful start-up mindset. You will join our diverse team on a bold mission: to build an online marketplace that makes the world a more inclusive place for everyone.
You will take the lead in engaging business leaders and creating value for small-medium enterprises and corporations through our activation campaign activities. You will help us optimise our product-market fit by sharing insights that you have gained. You are expected to plan and execute an effective mix of value-for-money inbound and outbound strategies that achieve results within our campaign period.
You have an exceptional track record of helping start-ups create meaningful value and grow. Given that our venture is in its early-stage you are excited to apply your skills into building something from the ground up. Working in close collaboration with start-up founders, engagement specialists and other team members is something very natural to you.
Thinking on your feet is your forte. You are action-oriented, results-driven and ready to put your hands to work in small, agile team that is striving for a big and audacious goal.
What you will do:
Prospect accounts, identify key players, qualify, generate interest and develop account opportunities through face-to-face or remote engagement activities.
Manage and cultivate leads towards successful conversion and retention.
Successfully manage feedback loops with prospects and leads. Share insights with team members to help continually optimise product-market fit.
Use Salesforce, LinkedIn and cloud-based tools to optimise your workflow, integrate with other team members and achieve results.

The candidate must be based in Singapore (citizens or permanent residents only). Flexible work arrangements can be negotiated. Project-based professional fee of $7500 SGD offered for an immediate start until December 8, 2017.
The essential things you’ll need for success in this role:
Must have a proven track record in achieving measurable business development goals for early-stage ventures. Experience in building and/or growing digital marketplaces a bonus.
Highly developed skills in qualifying prospects, overcoming objections and conversion a must. Has a natural ability at balancing aggressive prospecting tactics with respect, tact and kindness.
Successful track record of creating value for businesses in the entertainment, food & beverage and nightlife sectors.
Previous experience with activation or project management is essential.
Highly developed interpersonal skills with a proven track record in bringing together businesses and customers together to create shared value.
Other things that we are looking for:
Highly proficient communication skills in written and spoken English. Proficient in either one of the following languages: Bahasa Malaysia or Simplified Chinese will be advantageous;
A high level of productivity working in an agile, start-up environment.
Honesty, maturity and professionalism enabling collaboration and negotiation with a diverse team that combines B-Change Group team members and external technical partners.
Self-discipline and ability to deliver high quality results with minimal supervision.
Curiosity and a passion for continual learning.
Familiarity with socio-political environment in Southeast Asia and other parts of the developing world is an advantage.
